Stage 20, 2010, Long Jumeau- Paris

A sedate roll into Paris on the final day of the tour de France for 2010, before the sprinters started to flex their muscles. Cavendish once again showed his sprinting superiority, beating Green Jersey winner Petacchi, and NZ's own Julian Dean to the line in third.

Yesterday's Individual Time Trial proved the winning or losing of the tour. Despite  a nervous start by Contador, Schleck leading the tour on the road at some stage, the spaniard clawed back to be in front by 39 seconds for the yellow jersey. Ironically, this is the same amount of time Schleck lost on Stage 14 due to mechanical problems.

A huge tour for our lone Kiwi in the tour- 'Julz.' Crashing in stage 2, spending a night in hospital, coming back days later to finish 2nd on stage 4, headbutted on stage 11, another second on stage 18, and then 3rd on Stage 20 on the Champs-Elysees. Just imagine if he wasn't there to lead out the team's other sprinters...
